Class Concerts:

It’s hard to imagine that we are nearing the end of 2023! It feels like only yesterday we had our children walk in with big smiles and wide eyes.

Our end of year will be marked with a Christmas Concert and class party for each of our groups. The children are busy practicing some songs, we will share their Christmas craft and a small gift for each of them and staff will have a chance to say a BIG goodbye.

The details have been shared via seesaw, but here is a reminder.

  • Wimbi Wednesday 14th December 1:00pm – School Hall
  • Marram Thursday 15th December 2:00pm – School Hall
  • Gawarn Thursday 15th December 2:15pm – Kinder Deck
  • Dharug Friday 16th December 1:00pm – School Hall
  • Budja Friday 16th December 12:45pm – Kinder Deck

A party lunch list has been sent out also.

Budja:

It was such a great week in our Budja class, with the children loving Christmas craft and art! We have quite the assortment of decorations, paintings, ornaments and trinkets that the children have made over the past few weeks, which is part of why being a part of each child's Kindergarten years is so incredible as a Teacher. The sense of Joy, the wonder and excitement of realizing and experiencing Christmas for the first few times is incredible to witness.

We have also been busy practicing our songs for the Concert, which the children are VERY excited to be having. The children wanted to write to Santa as Al and Mardi had received messages, so we sent him an email as a class. He responded with a video message for Carol, the children's thoughtfulness and care was so beautiful and they adored the message that he sent.

It's hard to believe that this is the last week of the Kinder year,

we can't wait to make it the best one yet!

Marram:

This week the children engaged in (very soapy!) sensory play when we began cleaning our resources in preparation for the end of the year. It was a great way to show children that the experience of enjoying toys and resources also includes taking care of them for the next child or group of children that want to use them. Inside, the Christmas crafting continues unabated! We are approaching our last week of kindergarten with very bittersweet feelings but we are looking forward to our Christmas lunch and family concert!

Wimbi:

As you know, over the past few weeks the children have been practicing for their end-of-year Christmas concert. It has been truly amazing to watch the growth in the children just in these practice sessions. We have seen children’s confidence increase as they put together so many skills at the same time. They are learning to use a variety of instruments; they are memorising new words to songs; they are singing out loud in front of their peers; they are matching body actions to words; and they are putting this all together in unison as a group. We are so proud of them and can’t wait to show you what they’ve learnt this week at our little concert!

Gawarn:

We have had such a fun and exciting time in Gawarn class this week. The weather has been a little unpredictable this week! We have been busy rehearsing for our end of year concert. The children are continuing to do a wonderful job singing, listening and playing their musical instruments to the Big band song prompts. Well done Gawarn class!

The children have enjoyed exploring and engaging with the variety of art media making and decorating their Christmas decorations and portfolio bags.

We look forward to seeing our families at our Christmas concert on Thursday 15th December at 2.15pm on the Kindergarten deck. It is hard to believe this is our last week of kindergarten!

Warm Wishes: Kelly and Kristy.

Wishing you all a lovely week,

Kelly and Kristy

We have been busy rehearsing our songs for our end of year concert. The children are continuing to do a wonderful job singing and using their actions to the various songs. Well done Dharug class!

We read the story ‘How Santa Really Works’ the children thoroughly enjoyed listening to the beautifully illustrated popup book.

The children have enjoyed exploring and engaging with the variety of art media making and decorating their Christmas decorations and portfolio bags.

We look forward to seeing our families at our Christmas concert on Friday 16th December at 1.00 pm in the school hall. It is hard to believe this is our last week of kindergarten!
