Student of the Week Awards Presented 25/11/22

Lucas R. - 00L

This award goes to Lucas for his superstar writing this week! Lucas has put in an amazing effort to use ‘WOW’ words in his persuasive writing. He has been challenging himself to write one page or more in a writing session whilst also being careful to rest his letters on the base line. I am so proud of your superstar effort Lucas! Keep up the great work.

Jacob E. - 1/2D

Congratulations to Jacob for his wonderful efforts in PONT Maths this week. Jacob has worked hard to develop his understanding of subtraction. He has even applied his knowledge of the ‘Friends of Ten’ addition strategy to solve subtraction problems. Jacob, your hard work and determination will take you very far! Well done.

This award goes to Medina for her wonderful job in PONT this week. She has been working hard to advance her addition and subtraction skills. Medina was using her knowledge of count on and count back when working through problems in class. Well done Medina, you are a superstar! 

James C. - 1/2K

This award goes to James for being a kind and compassionate friend to us all. He always makes sure his friends are included and comfortable in their play. James we are so lucky you promote the HEART Values loud and proud in everything you do! You are a star!

Hannah D. - 3/4B

This award goes to Hannah for her work during our Integrated Studies lessons. She has included both living and non living things in her wetlands diorama using a range of materials. Hannah researched lots of interesting information about her habitat and has organised her ideas thoughtfully using Google Classroom. Keep up the wonderful work Hannah!

Joanna C. - 3/4K

This award goes to Joanna for her consistent display of the HEART value Excellence. Joanna decided to challenge herself in Maths this week by adding extra columns to her place value game, creating an extra level of difficulty. Keep up this wonderful attitude to your learning!

Lilly B. - 3/4S

This award goes to Lilly for her efforts during our House Sports this week. Lilly participated with enthusiasm and tried her best in all activities. It was great to see her enjoy the agility ladder where she improved her skills each time she had a turn. Well done Lilly.

Ches P. - 5/6F

This award goes to Ches for consistently demonstrating the HEART Value of Excellence by completing work to the best of his ability. He listens to task instructions, gets started straight away and completes work to a high standard. Ches should be very proud of his work!

Darcy B. - 5/6W

This award goes to Darcy for the continued development of his confidence this year. This year, he has focused on becoming more confident in his ability as a learner. He now contributes more to class discussions and seeks support when required. Wonderful effort Darcy!

 Parmiss N. - Performing Arts

Congratulations on your achievements in the Performing Arts Parmiss. In particular, you’ve done very well to learn many parts, including chords, melodies and rhythms on several different instruments. Very well done!

Ava S. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Ava for her ‘Striving for Excellence’ attitude in Visual Arts. Ava has created some fabulous pieces of art this year and always works quietly and efficiently. Her cushion, with a dry-felted koala and clever choice of buttons, is simply fabulous. You are an Art room star Ava!

James W.  - Mandarin

This award acknowledges James for his work in Mandarin class. We have been learning the words for different countries. James took the initiative to learn the Chinese characters for the country of Germany on his own. Keep up with the good work, James.
