Student of the Week Awards Presented 18/11/22

Brooklyn R. - 00L

This award goes to Brooklyn for showing the H.E.A.R.T values at our excursion to the zoo. Brooklyn kindly offered to share his umbrella with his classmates when walking in the rain. He embraced the wet weather and excitedly asked questions and pointed out the animals he could spot with such enthusiasm throughout the day! You are a Scoresby Superstar!

The Whole Grade - 1/2D

The whole of 1/2D is receiving this award for their enthusiasm and cooperation at our Melbourne Zoo excursion on Monday. Each and every student followed our school’s HEART values throughout the day, and brought your love for animals back into the classroom when we discussed our fun day out! Well done 1/2D – I am so proud of you all.

Leila W.  - 1/2G

This award goes to Leila for her efforts in Writing. Leila always puts 110% into her work. She takes her time, makes sure her handwriting is neat and edits and revises without being reminded. Your wonderful imagination is going to take you places Leila, keep up the great writing!

Jessica D. - 1/2K

This award goes to Jessica for being an enthusiastic participant during this week’s 150th birthday celebration. She enjoyed the zoo experience and participating in the olden-day games. Thank you Jessica for embracing your school community with so much HEART.

Mason W. - 3/4K

This award goes to Mason for the outstanding effort he has put into his diorama of a marine habitat. He carefully researched what could be included, and has put a considerable amount of care and thought into each detail. We’re very impressed with your creative skills, Mason. 

Celeste R. - 3/4S

This award goes to Celeste for her efforts in creating a Kahoot quiz using information she researched about the rainforest habitat. Celeste worked independently to research and create questions about rainforests and then worked collaboratively with a partner to create a Kahoot quiz for our class to share. Celeste, we look forward to learning more about rainforests.

Lily M. - 5/6F

This award goes to Lily for demonstrating the HEART Value of Excellence in PONT maths this week. She developed her mental and written multiplication strategies and demonstrated persistence when working with a partner to learn the lattice method. Lily should be very proud of her work!

Mohammad K. - 5/6M

This award is presented to Mohammad for the amount of outstanding knowledge he is able to draw on and share during class discussions. Mohammad speaks in a clear and confident manner and his contributions are always very interesting. Great work Mohammad!!

Leah H. - 5/6W

This award goes to Leah for consistently displaying the Scoresby HEART value of Excellence. When completing set tasks, Leah always applies herself and seeks feedback in order to improve. Wonderful effort Leah! I am very proud to be your teacher this year.

Elena F. - Performing Arts

This award goes to Elena for her contributions and achievement in the Performing Arts. Elena is in the choir and always tries her best. Thank you Elena for being a dance leader by helping the Grade 1/2 students with their Christmas dance.  

Cooper L. - Mandarin

This award acknowledges Cooper for his work in Mandarin class. We have been learning about numbers and Cooper has been practising writing the Chinese characters for the numbers 1-10. Excellent work, Cooper.

Betazen B. - Physical Education

This award goes to Betazen for his amazing work in PE this week! He listened carefully to learn the rules and positions of netball and played a game with his class. He played as the Goal Keeper and did a fantastic job of defending his opponent. Fantastic work Betazen!

Ryan V. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Ryan for his thinking and creativity. Students in 3/4 drew a plan and then made a hanging ornament using a CD as a starting point. After finishing his design Ryan decided to add a final touch – the owl’s eyebrows! What a brilliant, effective idea Ryan.
