Open Water Learning & Aspiring Leaders

Recently, our year 5/6 students travelled to St Georges Lake in Creswick to learn about open water swim and survival safety. Unfortunately, water testing provided results on unsafe swimming to the increase in algae levels from the recent rainfall.

Still, the students were able to participate in activities out of the water and still had a really enjoyable day.

We also had our future aspiring leaders present their school captain speeches. All of the candidates did a wonderful job, persuading the 3-6 students as to why they would make a great school leader. We had 20 students apply for the role and it was up to the grade 3-6s to vote. This is only one part of the election process. Successful candidates based off the votes will then interview with Mrs Nissen in the coming week. Good luck everyone!
