Specialists - Visual Arts (Mrs Bleicher)

Year 3-6 students have completed making their cardboard houses and they were put on display this week in the gym for other classes to view. The art installation allowed students to walk around and among the artwork.

Our Foundation-Year 2 students are working on creating a hessian wall hanging.  They have been practising their threading and stitching skills.  Check out some of the finished pieces!

2023 INFORMATION

As Visual Arts will be a specialist subject in 2023, all students will be required to provide their own ART SMOCK.  We do not have spares in the art room.

A smock that has long sleeves and elastic gathered neckline and cuffs is ideal, as it allows good coverage of clothes, and it is easier to put on and take off.

Smocks will be kept in classrooms and will be sent home on a regular basis for laundering.

Please ensure your child’s smock is clearly labelled with their name and room number before sending to school next year.

Below are some examples of suitable smocks. Our school uniform supplier (Beleza) also stock well-made smocks.

A new smock might make a great stocking filler!

Kind regards,

Deirdre Bleicher
