A big shout out to all parents and families of Foundation Students 2023 . We are very excited to invite you to our annual Meet and Greet on Wednesday March 1st between 3:30 and 4:45 pm.
This is a fun filled event where you will be able to meet many school staff members and chat to other parents and carers. There will be lots of activities for your children to take part in including: a petting zoo, art activities, nature play, games and of course a delicious sausage sizzle supplied by Their Care, our before and after school provider. Older siblings are welcome to come along and join in the fun too!
95% of our school do the right thing 95% (if not 100%) of the time but it is the 5% of people, 5% of the time that are needing a timely reminder of how to interact, behave and speak with others. All members of the CSPS community are to refer to the Statement of Values and School Philosphy Policy in particular, as parents and carers, we will:
- communicate politely and respectfully with all members of the school community, in line with the Department’s Respectful Behaviours within the School Community Policy.
- communicate constructively with the school and use expected processes and protocols when raising concerns
- treat all school leaders, staff, students, and other members of the school community with respect.

School Crossing Heat Policy
The City of Casey have a heat policy that supports their crossing supervisors when temperatures heat up.
The school will be notified by the City of Casey School Crossing team when the supervisors will be absent.
By law, CSPS staff are not qualified to position themselves as crossing supervisors on the road as they have not completed the suitable training.
Having said this, CSPS Principal class will ensure safety is first and foremost, within DET jurisdiction.
We welcome to the CSPS team for 2023, Mrs Sharon Jackson for Year 5/6b.
I wish to inform families of upcoming leave for the Year Fb teacher, Miss Monique Tempone. Monique would like to formerly announce to families of her upcoming wedding. Monique will be absent from CSPS Wednesday 22nd February – Friday 3rd March (inclusive), returning to school Monday 6th March. The Foundation staff continue to work as a team in relation to coverage and support, with additional staff, well known to CSPS, employed as required.
Drone usage at CSPS
CSPS has asked a community member to fly their drone over the school to get some photographs for future planning. Please do not be alarmed if you see a drone above the school.
The Department of Education and Training has a Drone Policy. Please see the advice on PAL https://www2.education.vic.gov.au/pal/drones/policy
- There are different rules that apply to drone use on school grounds depending on who is using the drone, and why the drone is being used.
- School community members (including staff and students) can use drones on school grounds for recreational and educational purposes with permission from the principal, provided they comply with the requirements set out in this policy.
- Schools can operate drones for commercial purposes (for example, creating promotional footage for the school) subject to additional accreditation and registration requirements. Schools can also engage third parties to operate drones for commercial purposes.
- Members of the public must not fly drones within or above school grounds or take pictures of school buildings or grounds without prior permission from the principal.
