Learning and Teaching
As we wrap up the year and reflect back on our teaching and learning, here are some of our highlights:
Teachers:
- Teaching F-6 Science and building relationships with all students at St Joseph’s. Mr Robinson
- Greeting all the families at valet in Italian and the students responding in Italian and the enthusiasm and fun we have on Italian day. Signora Verenti
- Working with all students across P-6. Miss Gregory
- Watching the students flourish and grow throughout the year. Mrs Inglese
- Learning with MACS staff different ways to teach maths strategies. Miss Caddy
- Learning new teaching practices through the “Science of Reading”, Mrs D
Students:
- Writing narratives, using punctuation and words to make my writing interesting. Gus 1/2
- In FBI, learning about other cultures. William 1/2
- Doing experiments in science, my favourite was the cola and Mentos. Patrick 1/2
- Playing maths games. Lillianne Prep
- I like learning how to use the laptops. Joe Prep
- I have enjoyed writer's notebook as we can write about things that make us feel good. Raine3/4
- I have enjoyed learning about decimals. Shiloh 3/4
- Learning Bodmas in Maths and working in a team for debating. Renee 5/6
- Learning about Global connections. Lachy 5/6
Over the holidays I encourage all of our students to limit their screen time. Get active and enjoy the sunshine. I have included a link to school holiday ideas below.
