FINAL SHOUT OUTS for 2022!

Most gracious thank you to two of our wonderful Dads!

Chris Constantinidis (John-Paul 1/2F and Joseph’s Dad) for doing some tiling in our tuckshop promptly and beautifully.

Kaywan Maghsoudi (Armin’s Dad) for organising an electrician and  installing fans in the St. Kevin’s Stadium.  These fans were donated to our students and school.

We welcome Rayan and his family (parents Mohammed Mosavat and Saedeh Karami) to our school community. Rayan is transitioning into Year 2 next year.

Thank you to Laura Mangiavillano and Julia Kennan for leading the School Advisory Council in 2022 and Suzanne Connelly for all her hard work being the PFA President this year! You are all true professionals who consistently support and promote our glorious school. 

Thank you to Gina Zammit, Suzanne Connelly and Jo Harman for organising helpers and calmly running the Tuckshop.

Thank you to Jo Antoniou for sharing her wonderful design skills and helping Fulvia with the marketing of our school.

Thank you to Eva and Con Tomazos for organising the 2022 Staff Christmas party at Mr. Percival Cafe & Restaurant Melbourne.  It was a most enjoyable evening and the food was incredible and in abundance!  I highly recommend it to all our families and friends. Anthony really looked after us and we had such fun reminiscing about 2022 and celebrating Christmas together.

Thank you to Suzanne Connelly, Jo Harman, Eusebia Bhachi, Shannon Toscano, Miyuki Oda, Lucy and Hamish Keenan, Luke Mangiavillano and Max Zammit for assisting with the Working Bee on Friday.  Everyone did an amazing job and we are now all ready to begin Head Start for 2023 on Monday.

Thank you to the Graduation Committee for meeting and organising what will be a memorable event on Tuesday night.

Thank you Parents and Carers for all your support in 2022.  It has been a pretty eventful year with lots of reflection and change.   I strongly believe that the spirit works in magnificent ways and I have been blessed to work with such dedicated individuals.  Thank you Father Charles and the Parish staff for all the spiritual guidance and support this year. 

Thank you Eva Tomazos for being an extraordinary support and truly a professional who works incredibly hard completing admin duties, overseeing PSG Meetings and attending Facilitated planning to support teachers. We are so fortunate to have her at St Kevin’s. I thank her a million times over for her patience, dedication and care to our students. To the Leadership Team -  Fulvia Gerosolimo in RE,  Fiona George  in Wellbeing and all the wonderful staff.  Thank you for all your work teaching the students and guiding them to achieve their very best.  I have told many principals this year that I have the best ‘Learning Support Officers’ in the world!  Thank you for your ‘we can do anything’ attitude and for helping our students to learn.  You are the best!

Thank you Robyn in the office, what a pocket rocket!  She shows such care and respect to all and she works tirelessly to ensure all is perfectly moving along.  I am so grateful for Robyn!  Thank you also to Fiona for all her work! Fiona gets the job done quietly and efficiently. Thank you!

Mr Con, thank you for stepping into the Digital Role and working hard to learn the ropes and implement new strategies! All the reports went out to parents with minimal fuss!  Congratulations!

Thank you Annie for the time you spend uploading and sharing all the great things that happen at St Kevin’s on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!  You are a star!

Thank you Andrew for stepping into the PE role in Term 4.  You did a fantastic job! Thank you to Danni Ibbott who worked with 5/6P.  The students have enjoyed working with you! Well done!

Thank you to Cathy Chapman for always being so flexible and creative with helping allocated students in Literacy supports such as Levelled Literacy Intervention, English as an Additional Language and Reading Recovery.

Thank you to Chiara Campagna and Caroline Rutkowski (Catholic Care) for supporting our students with such patience and dedication.

Thank you Sonia Costa for your dedication and care. Our students and staff have been so fortunate to work with you. You are a true professional and we look forward to working with you in a different capacity in the future!

Thank you Maria Buttifant for sharing your expertise in performing arts and teaching 5/6C.  Take care and good luck!

Thank you Jo Matarazzo for keeping our School Library up to date and ensuring new materials are purchased and catalogued efficiently for our staff and students.

Thank you Elisabeth Viola for sharing your talents and teaching our students Italian in Term 4. Grazie! Thank you Angela Scarcella for volunteering your time to support our students and also working as an LSO and  CRT.  Super effort!

Thank you Anna Peron for being our regular ‘Casual Relief Teacher’ at St. Kevin’s and being brave and conscientious by going on excursions and helping us with swimming.

Congratulations and thank you to our 2022 FIRE Carrier Student Leaders - Mira M, Diaz C, Sophie Z and Elliott, who presented 'Igniting the Story' on  Thursday 8th of December.  They worked with me for about a month during their own break times to organise this event.  They prepared an art activity, a storytelling and sport activity.  We raised $100 to donate to ‘Opening the Doors Foundation’.  This is our pledge as a FIRE Carrier School and it was wonderful to see the FIRE Carrier Student Leaders take charge and demonstrate service while taking on feedback to ensure activities ran smoothly.  

I was very proud of these students! Top job!

A very special blessing goes to the Year 6 Class of 2022 as they step into the unknown and begin their secondary school experience.  You will always be welcome in the  St Kevin’s school and  Parish community.  I have spoken to you all many times about respect and tolerance this year.

Please be proud of your achievements and remember that you have the power to make a difference.  It is all up to you how you use your superpower to believe, belong and build a better future! I wish each of you the very best! 

Thank you to all our beautiful individual students at St Kevin’s. Everytime I interact with you I learn more about you and your enchanting personalities.  I hope that you all have a relaxing break and lavish the time with your families and friends.

Thank you Parents and Staff for sharing the Christmas Spirit and donating beautiful gifts to the Bethlehem Appeal! I am sure the families will be so appreciative of your generosity.
