Spectacular rehearsal! Well done dancers! :)

Spectacular

Hi all,

It would be great if any parent volunteers could accompany us to the next Spectacular rehearsals for supervision purposes. Please message me via Sentral, gracias :)

We had a brilliant time at our first rehearsal on Tuesday at Ivanhoe East PS.

We danced all day and showed resilience and determination in rehearsing, showing great effort in learning the dance moves of 6 songs!

Well done to all of the Spectacular dancers, I am proud with how you represented our school!

We shared the bus with Bell PS and had a great time creating new friendships.

The rehearsal dates and venues are shown below in an image.

There will also be an extra two Dress rehearsals on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September at the John Cains Arena, before the big show on Saturday September 10th!

Any questions, let me know please.

Gracias,

Srta Laura

We have continued in focusing on our 'emociones' (emotions) using 'Del reves' (Inside out) as an example. We expressed our emociones in Spanish and were able to act them out in pairs. Our facial expressions are incredible and we were able to guess our emociones. ¡Excelente todos!

We began our dance preparation for 'El Carnaval de Barranquilla' (Carnival of Barranquilla) in Week 11! We are focusing in dancing 'Merengue', one of the Colombian typical dances.

I am impressed with the dancing skills so far, keep it up! Cannot wait to perform it at the end of week assembly at the end of this term!
