Working Bee
Working Bee
Please attend if you can
Buildings and Grounds Sub-Committee has scheduled a Working Bee for Saturday, 14th May 2022 beginning at 9am.
Anyone wishing to lend a hand is invited to turn up on the day.
We need your support on this day to ensure the on-going maintenance of our buildings and grounds at a minimal cost to the school community.
It is useful to remind ourselves just how important a robust and vital school community is to our children's education and social well-being. Working bees assist in the development of such a school community. They build a shared ownership in the school and the school's educative processes. Working bees bring parents into their children's' world.
Research has shown that parental participation in school activities not only benefits the school but also improves the performance and attitudes of the children of those parents.
Pleasant surroundings and an interested community may provide students with a better education outcome. And, of course, the exercise can't hurt either!
Tasks to be completed on Saturday include:
- weeding
- move library shelving from current library to new library
- fill skip with unused and broken items
- mulch garden beds
Buildings and Grounds members will be running each of the working parties.
If you have any queries, please phone the school (9457 2259) and ask for Carol Dawson.
