We are going to GENERATIONS IN JAZZ

Mount Gambier, South Australia Friday 3 May to Sunday 5 May 2019

MGC is excited to announce that we are going to Generations in Jazz. We have entered Stage Band Division 4+. The application form needs to be completed and returned to the General Office by no later than Wednesday, 20th February. Please find more information in the form attached below.

What is Generations in Jazz?

In 1987 Generations in Jazz began in Mount Gambier as a small gathering of jazz lovers who wanted to pass on their passion for jazz music to the next generation. A little over thirty years later it has grown into one of the largest events of its type in the world. It is a music festival which incorporates a National Stage Band Award, Small Jazz Combo Award, Vocal Ensemble Award, GIJ Vocal Scholarship, The James Morrison Scholarship, The Blanchard Awards, as well as a host of other awards for excellence in music. In 2018 almost 5000 participants gave approximately 1000 performances across 13 stages. This is an extraordinary experience for all involved.

Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!

Please direct any questions about GIJ to Anne Corry
