Junior School Refections Of 2015
“Being part of the SEAL program has provided us with many opportunities to develop and grow in our learning. We admire the students in our class, and have enjoyed working with them to achieve our educational goals.”
“The school’s facilities have continued to change and improve during the time we have been here, and I wonder, ‘how will the school look like when I am in Year 12?’ ”
Viet Gou 8H, Natalie Truong 8H and Nam Tran 8H
“We have enjoyed the many electives that are offered to us in the Junior Sub School. Food Technology has been our favourite this year. Ms Faoro is a wonderful teacher, and she has taught us many new cooking techniques, safety in the kitchen and how to accurately follow a recipe.”
Jenny Dinh 8A and Rukaiya Muhuseen 8A
“The Year 8 Brimbank Walk was one of our highlights this year, as we had a great time competing in the class vs class games at Brimbank Park. We liked being part of inter school sports and, more recently, participating in the end of year lunchtime activities program in the library.”
Nathan Wos 8F, Salar Danha 8F and Anthony Maniapoto 8F
“Taking part in the Interschool Futsal Competition was one of the highlights of Year 7. Miss Mohan was very tough on us at training. But it was good because even with few training sessions, we became quite good. We drew with Keilor Downs College which was very good because they have a Soccer Academy and train more often than us. So we were happy to draw that game. Our teammates were very fun and good. We learnt new skills. And we learnt that if you are confident, you can win the game!”
Vicky Tran & Knowledge Siologa – 7G
“Being part of the music program was very fun. We had the opportunity to learn many new instruments and we never had to worry about bringing our own instruments. Recording a cover of the popular Imagine Dragons song ‘Demons’ was a new experience. We have never done something advanced like this in primary school. We are very excited about recording our own song at the end of this week. Being part of the music program is very cool and we are excited to learn more new things next year and express our emotions through music.”
Zoe Pavilides, Bao Thai & Cindy Nguyen - 7G
“There were many new and exciting things we took part in this year. We loved our Futsal Unit in Physical Education. It is a fun sport and we didn’t all get to do it in primary school.” – Nicholas Holik
“MAC was very fun and I made a lot of new friends. The atmosphere backstage was really funny and it was interesting to see fellow school mates in their costumes. Overall it was a really good experience. I look forward to taking part in MAC again next year.” – Matthew Wos
“We had really good teachers this year. It was easy to get to know all of them because it is more teachers than we had in primary school. They were all very fun, nice and approachable.” – Thomas Kalavrianos

Year 7
Year 8
Dates For Next Year 2016
- Year 7 starts on Thursday 28 January
- Year 8 starts on Friday 29 January
We are looking forward to a great start to 2016. If students have everything they require for the first day of school, it makes for a much smoother start for them. Please make sure that all books have been purchased and everything is labelled. It is also a good idea to cover the expensive text books to improve their resale value. Please ensure you have a lock on the first day of the year and make sure that all uniform items including PE uniform are named.
If your child is going overseas they must return to school by the first day in 2016. Please let the office know if you are away. Please call the coordinators if you have any questions on 9355 4066.
Thankyou
The Junior Sub School would like to thank our wonderful students and their families for working with us this year. We have a new team starting in 2016 that are looking forward to working with Year 7 and 8 students and their parents.
Thanks to staff for their support and hard work with the Junior Team over the year. We would also like to thank Ms Gough for all her hard work and knowledge that she has shared with the Sub School over the past years as she ventures up to the Senior School in 2016.
Thank you also to the other members of the Junior school team, Mr. Turner, Ms.Cassar, Ms. Mohan and Ms Minogue for all the great work and enthusiasm this year.
