Congratulations to our Rugby and Rugby League sports stars!

We are proud to be amongst elite rugby union and rugby league athletes who are members of the 2018 Victoria State Rugby Teams. Lani Afiafi, 9J and Fahina Ofahengaue, 9I represented the 2018 NRL Victoria Under-15s squad, both competing in the 2018 Combined Affiliated States (CAS) Championships in April. In September this year, both Lani and Fahina were again selected as members of the 2019 NRL Victoria Under-16s Girls State Squad. They have been training hard with their squad since October, in preparation for next year’s CAS championships, to be held in Sydney again in April 2019.

On the rugby union side of things, both Antonio Masina, 9B and Melvin Poseta, 10E have been selected into the Victoria State Under-16s Rugby Team. Both players competed in the recent 2018 Rugby Nationals competition, which took place in Gold Coast, during the end of Term 3 school holidays. Both players are training in elite programs, with Melvin himself switching rugby codes upon moving to Victoria after being a Sydney Roosters Junior Rugby League player earlier this year, and Antonio currently a member of the Melbourne Rebels Developing Player Program 2018.  We congratulate Lani, Fahina, Melvin and Antonio on a wonderful year of representative rugby, and wish them all the best in their preparations for 2019.
