Year 7 table tennis boys

During Term 3, the western region table tennis competition was held at SASC's gymnasium. The year 7 table tennis boys team dominated the day beating all 4 schools to win our region; Sunshine college, Victoria university secondary, Copperfield KP and Gilson college. The boys showed great poise and skills under pressure to beat all the schools on the day to take out the title.

The next round was held in North geelong during term 4. The winner of this round would be declared the western metropolitan champions and they would head to the state finals.

Our boys trained for two months prior to taking on Belmont secondary college and Braybrook college. They settled their nerves early with a good win against both schools to finish 1st in their group. Into the semi finals they had to take on Maribynong sports academy. The boys played ferociously to win convincingly and breed confidence for our final against Good news Lutheran.

It was such a tough final, the boys gave it their all but came up short.

3 wins in a row, I couldn't be more proud of these boys for committing to training and giving their best efforts to get this far. We will continue to work and possibly go one better next year.

Congratulations to the runners up of the western metropolitan region.

Tommy Duong, James Dang, Izaac Tao, Josiah Pham.
