Dan Kerby

When Dan Kerby isn't drumming live in front of 83,000 people at an NRL Grand Final, he’s inspiring young musicians at BHS. Class of 2004 alum Dan, returned last week and spoke to VET students about his impressive career pathway as a drum teacher and mentor and playing alongside incredible artists such as BLISS N ESO, 28 Days and Masked Wolf. 

A bespoke session was then held for our drummers, where Dan demonstrated and provided advice to our enthralled students.  When the bell sounded signalling the end of the day, many students (and teachers) were reluctant to leave, hanging back to check out Dan’s impressive kit and to ask more questions. 

This will be a day our students will remember for many years to come! 

We thank Dan for being so generous with his time and for sharing his passion, how incredibly lucky we are to have alumni so willing to give back.
