Pacifika Gala Day
Pacifika Gala Day
On Monday, 12th September, the Pacifika students of Epping Secondary College’s Pacifika Program attended the Melbourne Storm Gala Day held at Craigieburn Recreation Centre.
During our time there we struggled through vigorous games of tag rugby against participating schools, including Elevation Secondary College and Mount Ridley College. Despite initial struggles, we eventually triumphed through gritty teamwork and on field hustle.
As a collective, we were able to socialise with the other schools from across Melbourne and strengthen bonds between our students through music, dance and humour. Most importantly was the sausage sizzle at lunch.

It was a very positive experience for everyone as we were able to connect with people who are the same culture as us. I really enjoyed being active and interacting with other Pacifika students.

The most important thing was having fun and making friends.

This excursion was important to us because we won every game as a team.

Today the students were able to demonstrate their teamwork, honesty and respect whilst also being able to expand on their rugby skills.
