Positive Climate for Learning Update

Our Year 12 students’ official classes and their time at Epping Secondary College, is fast drawing to a close. Year 12 classes finish next Friday, October 14th, with their Celebration Day Monday, October 17th.

Those undertaking exams will have their final weeks of secondary study continue until the completion of their last Year 12 exam. We wish all our 12s well for the coming weeks and post-secondary discussions and decisions.

For our other year levels this is the term to ensure assessment tasks are completed and begin preparation for a new level in 2023.

We look forward to working with students and families to ensure a successful completion of 2022. If parents or carers have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office as the first point of contact.

STUDENT REFLECTION ROOM

As we work our way through our processes and procedures and continue to increase family involvement in students’ education and student responsibility and accountability for their choices, we would have moved this week to sending out the following message via XUNO to parents/guardians of any student sent to the Reflection Room:

Epping Secondary College has been informed that your child has been exited from class to the school’s staffed Student Reflection Room.

Please ensure a conversation with them at the end of the school day, in supporting and ensuring our school values are upheld.

Epping Secondary College welcomes parent/guardian contact in supporting a positive learning environment.

Student Coordinators have informed students of this via assemblies.

If you have any queries about this, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
