Work Experience
For the last week of term three many of the year 10 students went off to preferred work placements for the week. We had teachers, accountants, graphic designers, computer programmers, carpenters, nurses, hairdressers, child carers, retail stackers and many more finding if work is in fact better than school.
Many stories of being tired, early mornings, noisy students and heavy boxes abound but the general comment was that this was a worthwhile experience that helped students think about future plans – and that sometimes school is not so bad.
Well done to those staff who visited our young workers and to Natalie for finding many late comers positions at the last minute.
