12W's Pizza & PJ Day
ESC’s Mental Health Awareness and Wellbeing Day in Pyjama's👚
On 13th September, VCAL 12 W students organised a mental health awareness day as part of their complex work-related activity. It was good to see students and staff having a calm, relaxing day in their PJs. Thank you to staff and students for their donations that helped raise funds for Beyond Blue.
The VCAL 12 W students worked tirelessly and enthusiastically in the kitchen to make, sell and deliver fresh pizzas to our lovely staff and year 12’s. The warmth of the pizza oven and the aroma of Mr Kaska’s fresh wood fired Margherita Pizza along with the musical vibes in the courtyard from our teacher’s band was certainly providing that much needed environment for our students and staff to spend time together and wind down term 3 on a good note. Thank you to our teacher’s band for this beautiful collaboration.
The VCAL students also set up various wellbeing stations in the library for students and staff. They created amazing activities (Stress Test quiz, origami, mindfulness colouring, musical meditation area) in collaboration with our lovely wellbeing team and Library staff. The students appreciate their kind support.
A big thank you to Mr Kaska for generously volunteering his time and his master chef skills to ensure the event ran smoothly and safely. A huge shout out also to the office team of Michelle, Regan and Mel, who happily supported the students throughout, assisting them with the approval, finances and promotional part of this event.
The feedback we have received has been very positive and is a lovely testament to our students.
