11Y's Muffin Sale & Dodgeball Tournament

11Y’s Amazing Muffin Sale With the Topping of Exciting Dodgeball Tournament!!

VCAL 11Y students planned and organised a bake sale and dodgeball tournament for Year 7 students as part of their Work-related skills curriculum on 12th September.  The students showed incredible enthusiasm and collective determination under the leadership of Haider Albadran to successfully implement this project. The students baked 100 plus muffins (apple cinnamon and choc chip) and efficiently delivered them to the students and staff to raise funds for Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR).  After the muffin sale, the students shared their reflection with the class stating that they feel more confident in the kitchen now and will try more baking at home.

The students would like to thank Ms Schurmann, Ms Dee, Ms Jodie, Ms Gaby, Ms Monica, Ms Rivera and Ms Chahal for believing in them and assisting them in leading this bake sale.

At lunch time, 11Y students organised a dodgeball event for Year 7’s.  There were 4 teams with more than 50 players in total. The 11Y students showed great leadership and time management skills to successfully run all the games during the lunch time break. The teams were very excited and they followed all the instructions given by 11Y organisers. The students appreciate Ms Rivera, Ms Gaby, Ms Hill, Ms Rehak, Ms Verma and Ms Chahal for assisting them in the gym.
