Partnerships with Parents

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and well-being of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

At St Louis, we are always keen to build partnerships with parents. We love welcoming community members who have a particular skill set or profession that connects to the learning design of the classroom.

Last term year 6 students embarked on an inquiry maths project focused on concepts connected to financial literacy, designing and creating their own maths game board.

As part of this learning, we welcomed one of our parents, Alain, into our classrooms to share his board game that is currently in development. Excitingly, our students were some of the first people to play this game and used this experience to help enhance their own designs.

For more information check out the blurb below as well as the pics of our students playing and some of their feedback.

REDL is a real estate board game where the fundamental concept of financial literacy based on money management, business math, property finance and real estate development skills can be learned in a fun, engaging and entertaining family environment.
