SUNSMART REMINDER

A reminder that hats are required outside during Term 4. As we approach Summer the UV rays become more intense, leading to sunburn and skin damage.

Students must wear a hat when outside including lunch, recess and Phys Ed classes.

It is also recommended that students also bring sun screen that they can apply themselves when needed.

Students without hats will not be able to participate in all Physical Education activities properly.

Congratulations to our Beachside Athletics Carnival competitors that competed on 11th October at Duncan MacKinnon Reserve. They all represented Sacred Heart fantastically, have qualified after their success at the Dendy Athletics Carnival.

We had 2 competitors qualify for the next stage, South Metro Regional Athletics:

1st place - 11 Boys - Harrison Lonsdale-Coates - 200m

2nd place -12/13 Girls - Isabel Corrigan - Triple Jump

Both students competed fantastically and reported back that the level of competition was quite high on the day!

HOOP TIME

Congratulations to our Senior All-Star Girls who competed in the regional finals competition on Tuesday 11th October. The team managed to perform awesomely on the day and have qualified for the State Championships on 22nd November.

Our All-Star Girls team consists of:

Gia Hilton, Bonnie Lagan, Skye Lawless, Bella Monaghan, Amy Scott, Milly Surkitt, Eloise Tuohey & Scarlett Withington.

A large thank you goes out to all the parents who have supported the students throughout their games and to Tim Hilton for coaching on the day.

We are also excited to see how our Junior All-Star Boys compete on Monday 7th November.
