SMALL SCHOOLS PUBLIC SPEAKING
The Annual Small Schools Public Speaking Competition (sponsored by Boggabri Rotary Club) will be held next Wednesday 19th October at Sacred Heart School. We look forward to hearing everyone's speeches and wish all students the best of luck.
All are welcome to come and watch the competition. There will be a cafe operating as part of the Year 6 fundraising efforts.
SOCKTOBER
Socktober is an annual fundraiser for Catholic Missions and is held each October. During this time fundraisers are held at the school as part of our contribution to Catholic Missions. This year we will participate in the following events and ask that students bring in a gold coin donation for each event:
Thursday 20 October - coin trail (please bring in any coins that you have from home so students can make the longest trail).
Thursday 27 October - crazy sock and hair day (gold coin donation)

Book Club LOOP
Book Club catalogues will be sent home this week and we encourage you to order and pay using the Book Club LOOP (Linked Online Ordering and Payment) platform for parents. It is quick and easy to use - no calculators and no handling cash required!

Transport NSW 2023 School Travel Applications
This applies to children who use or will need to use buses to get to and from school. Some children who may also need to reapply so if you are unsure please you read the attached flyer.
Applications for student travel in 2023 opened from Monday 10 October 2022. Please refer to the flyer below for further information.
NEW SCHOOL SYSTEM
Our new finance system (TechOne) has just been rolled out into our school. This has been incorporated with Compass.
What does this means for parents?
- School Fees will now be emailed to parents and can be paid in the following ways.
- On the Compass App
- By BPay (reference on Statement)
- You can no longer make payment direct to our bank account (EFT) however, if you still wish to pay it as a scheduled payment, you can do this through BPay
- Over the counter (cash/cheque/EFTPOS)
We ask that you please be patient during this transition period. I'm sure we will have a few teething problems so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Robyn at the Office who will try to answer any queries that you have.
