John Monash Science School's Little Scientists programs

Four Grade 5 students were picked to participate in the John Monash Science Program this term. The Science Program consisted of four fortnightly sessions, and they took place on Wednesday afternoons.

Four students were picked from six different schools, and the John Monash Secondary School students taught the program.

We all worked as a team, solving problems from protecting an egg from smashing from a great height to using a microscope to look at onion cells. We focused on building problem-solving skills and working on our ability to communicate science effectively. John Monash Little Scientists program, was fantastic. It engaged us in science. This program was inspirational as it started us thinking about our future careers. Maybe we will study science when we leave school?

Passion Projects

In the final week of Term 3, L1&2 shared their Passion projects with their fellow students and Buddies. Students explored an area they were passionate about, who inspired their passion, resources they may have needed to carry this passion and other interesting facts. Here are some examples from 1K & 2CM.
