Rugby 7s - Armidale

On Wednesday 14th September, we took 53 students to Sport UNE in Armidale to compete in a Rugby 7s competition. Rugby Union is new to many of our students, so we had also taken them to a development day in Inverell two weeks prior. We are incredibly proud of how all students played on the day, picking up quickly what can be a complicated game to initially learn. Each team played 3-4 games before progressing to the finals; all teams had a couple of wins for the day. The Under 16s boys came out with a second, the U14s girls 3rd, and the U16s girls 3rd. We also took over some Opens players who joined teams with other schools.
