Music News

Term 3 brings many new opportunities to learn new musical concepts, compose our own musical creations, learn new songs and find creative ways to play our favourite musical games together, from home.

It was wonderful watching our students growing in their confidence and creativity in Music classes, as we learned together online during Term 2. This term, I am particularly looking forward to seeing more videos of students making music and singing our songs together with their families!

Performance sharing during class times

This term, Year 3-6 students who play an instrument, or learn singing/dancing and who would like to play for their class, will each be performing a piece for their class, on a designated week.

By agreeing to be part of this, students are committing to practice their chosen piece at home, and remembering to be prepared with whatever music etc they need on the day.

While I encourage the students to put their best effort in, I will emphasise that this is about "having a go," enjoying each other’s performances, and performing at whatever level students are at. There is no need for students to feel anxious, and this will be a valuable opportunity for students to appreciate and encourage their classmates' skills.

We will be discussing who would like to perform, during Music classes Thursday and Friday this week and students will be notified of their times by the end of next week. We look forward to encouraging and appreciating the members of our class together.

Looking forward to another musical and creative term together.
