A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

This week on Monday and Tuesday Amanda Bartholomew and I are in Armidale attending Professional Learning on Mathematics. We are fortunate to be involved in the Diocesan Mathematics Project this year and we are looking forward to bringing back new ideas and strategies to improve the way we, as teachers, plan and deliver Mathematical learning experiences for our students. We look forward to sharing with you our progress in our Focus on Learning section of the school newsletter next term.

A reminder that the first day back next term is a staff development day on Mathematics teaching, facilitated by Mrs Trish Mitchell from the Catholic Schools Office. School resumes for students on Tuesday 21st July.

There are many thank yous at the end of a school term. To Father Vic; thank you for being a caring and supportive Parish Priest. To our students, thank you for being proud of your school and trying hard in your learning. To our teachers, thank you for always going above and beyond what is required; your care of each student, the lesson preparation you do and your willingness to keep providing the best possible Catholic Education are appreciated by our whole school community. To our wonderful Education Assistants, thank you for your patience and the support you give to students and teachers. To our office staff; the school functions smoothly because of your organisational skills and hard work; thank you. Finally, thank you to our parents/carers for supporting our school during such an unexpected term! We value your input into your child’s education and hope to be able to welcome you back into the school more frequently next term.

I wish all our families a safe, relaxing and happy holiday and look forward to working with you next term. God Bless.

Take care and be safe

Pauline Long
