14th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year A

“I am gentle and humble of heart.”

Do you sometimes feel worried about things?  Do you sometimes feel tired or frustrated and just need a rest?  In the gospel for the coming weekend we learn that we can give our worries to Jesus and Jesus will give us rest and peace.  The key message of Matthew's gospel is: do not worry, for Jesus is gentle and humble and will give us rest (Mt 11:  27-30).

It is with much excitement that I announce we will be presenting our Sacramental Program for Reconciliation in Term 4.  Dates are being finalised with Fr Vic and the Parish Catechists - and will be shared with you early in Term 3.  Students who are baptised into the Catholic Church and are in Year 2 or above will be invited to participate in this Parish-Based Program.

As we head towards school holidays, I'd like to thank  our families, our incredible Staff and most importantly - our students - for your constant support and hard work throughout this term.  One of my favourite TED Talks has reminded me why we love doing what we do.

"Every child needs a champion" - Rita Pierson (RIP - 2013).

Take care and see you next term.

God bless,

Mrs Wendy Rheinberger
