Girton Grammar School Accounts

To streamline our processes and reduce administrative costs, we intend to move away from providing hard copies of monthly Girton financial statements and to issue digital statements via email each month.

You will receive a copy of our Business Regulations via email, which we are required to issue to parents annually.

If you have circumstances that make the receipt of digital statements problematic, please contact the Business Office to make exceptional arrangements.

Thank you for your support, especially as we take measures to manage the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our school and to strengthen our position for the future.

Educational and Psychological Services

My mission as an experienced and fully qualified Psychologist working within Girton’s Pastoral Care team and families, is to assist young people to realize their potential, their self worth and to enhance skills of self regulation.

My service includes counselling on any mental health or adjustment difficulty, conducting full Ed-Psych assessments and consultancy with parents and staff on any matter related to child development (P-12).

Following Parent-Teacher interviews, you may have considered what options you have in order to clarify how best to gain maximum benefit from your child’s education program. If you have noticed a mis-match between their ABILITY and ACADEMIC LEVELS, it would be beneficial to consider a full Ed Psych assessment. This is the only valid pathway to objectively determine their potential against their level of academic functioning and whether a Specific Learning Difficulty (SLD) is present. If it is identified early enough, my detailed report provides an opportunity for the School Program to rectify the issue. In addition, the Ed Psych diagnosis provides critical information to both the School and the State relating to their needs and entitlements throughout their Schooling (compensations, adjustments, exams etc).

Should you require further information on any aspect of my service, including the applicability of Mental Health Care Plans, you may refer directly to me by email (johnpease@girton.vic.edu.au) or by phone 0419108460.
