Australian Combined Schools Music Festival - Billeting

At the end of Term 2, students of John XXIII College will be participating in the Australian Combined Schools Music Festival. This festival brings together students from across Australia in a combined Concert Band, Choir and Symphony Orchestra and culminates in a gala concert at Winthrop Hall. As part of this exciting event, we are seeking expressions of interest in hosting students as a billet family from Wednesday 28 June to Sunday 2 July (four nights).

Billeting students involves arranging transport to and from Methodist Ladies College during the festival and the provision of lunches on three days. A Working With Children Check is required (volunteer level) with the application cost covered by the Music Department. A complete schedule of festival events, transport and accommodation details for billet families is available from the Music Department.

Thank you Loreto Nedlands

Loreto Nedlands generously donated this beautiful baby grand Monington & Weston piano to the College. The piano belonged to Gertrude Flynn (nee Wood) Dux of Loreto in 1939, and the Flynn Family bequeathed the piano to the Mother John Music Studio in 2011.
