Harmony Week

Week 8, 21 March

We recently celebrated Harmony Day at GPS. Harmony Day is a uniquely Australian celebration that promotes harmony and unity among all cultures. Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

GPS celebrated Harmony Day by wearing orange and classes participated in various activities to celebrate diversity and harmonious relationships between members of the school community. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and the encouragement of mutual respect.
