Movie Night

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful night on Friday for our movie night. Around 200 people gathered in front of the big screen to enjoy "DC League of Super Pets". It was great to have involvement on the night from the Interact students - the glow sticks and bubble wands were definitely a hit with the kids! We were thrilled to have Jason Real Estate sponsor the event; thank you so much for your promotional boards.

I would like to thank the Parents and Friends committee members who were there on the night to help set up: checking everyone in, serving, cleaning up, and everything in between. 

Trivia Night

What a wonderful turnout there was at the trivia night last month, with over 60 friends and families of Aitken joining in for a night of laughs. A huge thank you to the trivia master, Mr Michael Cooper. Congratulations to the three placing teams.

Hot Cross Buns

By now you should have received your hot cross buns fundraiser form. To order your freshly baked and delicious Bakers Delight Hot Cross Buns, please complete the form and return with your payment to the Accounts Office by Monday 27 March. Orders will be delivered to the school on Tuesday 4 April and distributed to the children.

Mothers Day Breakfast and Stall

If you would like to help with either the Mothers Day breakfast or the stall on 11 May next term please email pandf@aitkencollege.edu.au. These events can’t happen without your support. 

Anyone wanting to help must have a valid WWCC and have completed the College Volunteer Induction Session. There will be two opportunities for you to do this at the beginning of Term Two – Saturday 29 April at 9am or Wednesday 3 May at 2.30pm.

Community Business Directory 2022 Fundraiser

Many families in the Aitken College community manage or own a business. Each year as a fundraiser the Parents & Friends Association compile a Community Business Directory to provide a way in which we can support local business. The 2023 Business Directory commenced early in March, for a twelve-month period, and is advertised on the College website as well as the newsletter. Aitken families may purchase a space for $50.00 to promote and advertise their business. All money raised from this most valued fundraiser will be used by the Parents & Friends Association to improve the environment, facilities and equipment of the College, to benefit our children.
