Picnic on the Lawn

Thank you to our wonderful Music Captains, Emily Colbran and Maeve Magner (Year 12), who provided lovely background music for the annual ‘Picnic on the Lawn’ family gathering at our Springwood campus last week. We are very appreciative of Maeve and Emily making time in their busy schedules to perform at this event. 

Da Costa and the PYO

Congratulations to Orlando Holmes (Year 8) who played First Clarinet in the Penrith Youth Orchestra performance last Sunday afternoon. Conducted by Paul Terracini, with guest violinist Alexandre Da Costa performing on his 1701 Stradivarius, the concert featured Vivaldi as rock, jazz-tinged Bach and Pachelbel’s famous Canon with a backbeat, as well as some contemporary favourites by Queen, Hendrix and Leonard Cohen.
