Welcome Mass and Function

Last Sunday many of the families from our school community gathered for what was a wonderful celebration. The Foundation and Year 6 students hosted a Welcome Mass, during which our new families were welcomed and our Year 6 leaders were blessed. This was followed by a sausage sizzle and some special games for the children. Thank you to all the families who supported this event and made it such a wonderful occassion. Special thanks to the parents who volunteered to cook and serve the sausages and Father Kevin for celebrating our Mass.

Ash Wednesday and Opening School Year Mass

On Wednesday the whole school celebrated Mass to mark the beginning of our school year together and to commemorate Ash Wednesday, the begining of the Lenten Season.

During the Mass, Father Kevin challenged all present to really make an effort to actively join in with the Lenten season by practicing three things;

• Giving up something to improve ourselves
• Taking action to help others
• Finding a little more time to spend in prayer
