Hands on Learning Update

Luke Caldwell and Kara Rysava

Hands on learning kicked off on the 15th February. This program works with students to develop areas such attendance, teamwork, wellbeing and engagement.

We do this in a very practical or ‘hands on’ way with building, gardening, woodwork and cooking taking up most of our time.

This year, we have 7 students involved who have begun the year extremely positively. Projects have included upskilling woodworking skills, designing future table projects, reviewing safety procedures, weeding the vegetable garden from summer weeds and getting familiar with others through different activities.

We are looking forward to a year full of productive learning while making creative projects. Stay tuned for all the exciting news we have throughout the year!
