PSC Clubs & Activities
We have some outstanding clubs running at Pakenham Secondary College each day. All students are welcome to attend any of the clubs. If you have any questions, please contact the Club Coordinator(s).
We have an abundance of Clubs at PSC. Here is a snapshot of some of the clubs over the past couple of weeks:
Philosophy Café - Monday at lunch time in B12
Philosophy Café is the perfect place to discuss existence, the universe and everything over a biscuit and other snacks. Topics such as 'Can we really be the same person even if our memories change?' 'Is it okay to use animals for scientific research?' 'Does evil exist?' are discussed. This week's topic was 'Do animals feel pain?', which opened up a very interesting debate. Please come along to B12 on Mondays at lunch time to join the conversation.
Aerobics Squad - Monday at lunch time | Thursday at lunch time & after school (Week A) in the Gym
Our Aerobics Squad have already started training and preparing their routines for the upcoming Regional Competition. Keep up the great teamwork girls! Here they are warming up for their routine.
STEM Club - Wednesday at lunch time in B13
Are you interested in robotics, 3D, building projects, conducting experiments, working with electronics? You can even come up with your own ideas. If so, come along to STEM Club on Wednesdays at lunch time in B13.
Art Club - Wednesday at recess and lunch time in B10
If you want to express and develop your creativity, come to Art Club. Visual art encourages imagination and creative thinking, which are important skills for the future. The club is run on Wednesdays at both recess and lunch time in B10.
Chess Club - Monday to Friday recess and lunch time in the Library/Outdoors Chess Area
Last year our talented chess players competed in the State Finals – with our Girls Team finishing in third place (narrowly missing out on second in a tie break) – Our Chess Club is a great place to develop new skills and make new friends and is on every day at both recess and lunch time, either in the library or in the outdoors chess area.
Digital Art & Design (Friday Lunch in B9)
Enhance your visual and technical skills by joining Digital Art and Design. You will be learning to use the iPad, doing digital illustrations, 3D modelling on computers, learning to use Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator and technical drawing. A fantastic club to join every Friday at lunch time in B9.
