Alumna Isabella Giovinazzo, MGC class of 2007 is a successful actor, producer, film maker. 

During the first lockdown of 2020, she joined a Microsoft Teams Q & A session facilitated by Arts teachers Anne Corry and Lindy Mumme and Ourschool Alumni Program Coordinator Lori Perry.  Isabella had encouraging advice for the students who attended, and offered the opportunity for all to audition for a short film. The filming recently took place according to the following report by MGC Arts Captain Abi Williams: 

Over the school holidays, MGC students were given an amazing opportunity to act in a short film titled "Prawn" directed by Ella Carey and produced by MGC alumna, Isabella Giovinazzo. After sending in audition tapes back during 2020 lockdown, Cecilia Karlovic, Rose Kavanagh, Abi Williams and Charlotte Dirckze all received main roles. It was a great 3 day shoot, where the students got to experience what it's like being on set, and being immersed behind the scenes, working with like-minded creatives. On the first day of shooting, the actors had to change locations from Eltham to Donvale and were driven by Isabella Giovinazzo. They had a great time bonding over talk of MGC teachers and student life, with Isabella telling great stories about her time at MGC. Overall, the experience was very memorable and all were grateful for the opportunity.
