Boys' Boarding News

After starring in the Performing Arts Festival, the boys attended the ‘Unbroken Land’ screening at the Araluen Arts Centre on Friday night. Seeing students they knew from school on the screen and on stage, having language in subtitles or spoken, and the theatre experience made for an enjoyable evening. Some of the boys commented that the ‘rain dance’ worked given all the rain we had over the weekend!

On Sunday 'Funday', some of the boys took the opportunity to check out the Aviation Museum in the morning and then dyed shirts in the afternoon in preparation for Harmony Day – thanks to the Baileys for providing our boarders with this opportunity.

Each week it is great to see individuals stepping up to contribute or take up learning opportunities outside their comfort zone. In the past week, Kybe Keen completed Work Experience at Purple House, Angas Batty took part in a week at CDU doing a VET Engineering course, and Keneifa Hayes did the Welcome to Country at the Middle School Assembly.

This Sunday evening there is a special guest at Chapel and staff are invited to dinner beforehand. We are looking forward to this service and I would like to acknowledge all the boarders for their singing efforts every Sunday. We may well be on the way to starting a choir!
