Work Experience

Year 10

This week, sixty four students went out into ‘the real world’ to complete a week’s work experience, in a place of their choosing, as part of their study of Personal Learning Plan (PLP) – the first of their SACE Certificate studies and one of the compulsory units for successful completion of the Certificate.

PLP is designed to set students up for success in Years 11 and 12 given its key goals are to help students:

  • plan their personal and learning goals for the future
  • make informed decisions about their personal development, education, and training.

A key aspect of the course is the completion of a week’s work experience. Class teachers have visited the students in their workplace throughout the week and have been impressed with the feedback received.

The College is indebted to all the employers who generously gave of their time to help prepare the next generation of the Australian workforce.
