Welcome

From the Principal...

A warm welcome to 2017. We hope that you have had a restful break and are ready for a year full of exciting learning and challenging new experiences. This is just a brief newsletter to help you to prepare for the upcoming start of term.

2016 was again another year of success and firsts for Northcote High.

VCE results saw the greatest number of students achieving an ATAR above 80, and importantly first round offers for tertiary places are also at an all-time high.  This validates the focused efforts of the cohort, their teachers and families. We wish the 2016 graduating class every success with their future – congratulations.

This year 300 Year 7s begin: a big and warm welcome to our new students and families.  More detailed news will follow in our Week 2 Newsletter, including 2017 post-school destinations, new staff and an introduction to the sub-school teams. The more eagle-eyed amongst you may notice that this Newsfeed has been sent by the newest member of our Principal team, Ciar Foster, who joins us as Assistant Principal this year.

Staff are currently preparing for the return to school.  We hope that you enjoy the remainder of the break, and eagerly anticipate the school once again being filled with the buzz of student energy.

We look forward to partnering with you in 2017.
