Music Update 

Interesting Fact:  Music learning fine tunes a child's brain to be able to identify sounds that make up speech. Through this fine tuning children can identify speech sounds earlier, learn to communicate better and faster and wires their brain so it can remain healthy for longer (Strait, D.L., et al 2012)

JUNIOR CONCERT BAND

Week one of term 2 marks the very first rehearsal of the 2021 Junior Concert Band for all Year 7 brass, woodwind and percussion students. Rehearsals will run each week on Wednesday from 3.15 to 4pm with Mr Parsons in P1. Students need to remember to bring their instrument each week on Wednesday for this rehearsal.

Monday:      

3 - 4.30pm - Senior Concert Band

Tuesday:      

lunchtime - Clarinet Ensemble

3 - 4.15 - Intermediate Concert Band

Wednesday: 

lunchtime - Vocal Ensemble

8.45 am - Stage Band

lunchtime - Percussion Ensemble

Thursday:     

lunchtime - Saxophone Ensemble
