Duke of Edinburgh Silver Adventurous Journey
A reminder to all Senior School students that Science Club is on again this Thursday at 1.00 pm in S2.
Mrs Joanne Schuster - Science Coordinator
During the Easter weekend, seventeen Year 11 and 12 students hiked 45km from Woy Woy to Wondabyne station over three days. After all the rain and flooding in the weeks prior, the weather was extraordinary and provided an opportunity for the boys to dry out, to take in the sunshine and the magnificent views. They were extremely happy to be out hiking with their mates.
Once again, a very big thank you to Mr Tim Long and old boys Jack Schyvens and Oliver Lenehan for their patience, time and assistance with this Adventurous Journey.
It is very appropriate to take this opportunity to acknowledge the passing of His Royal Highness, Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh for his inspiration and outstanding leadership of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Many young people from around the globe have been provided with opportunities that would never have existed without this Award. On behalf of our many students who have benefited from this Award over many years we are very grateful for his contributions and saddened by his passing.
