In The Classroom...

Year 9 Debating in Excel English

Year 11 Chemistry with Mr. Auld

We understood the structure of an ionic compounds lattice structure through the use of different coloured marshmallows representing positive and negative ions and spaghetti representing the bonding between ions.

Year 7 and 8 Maths with Mr. Auld

To best represent how to understand Squared and Cubed numbers, we created squares and cubes from blocks. The resulting amount of blocks would help solve squaring and cubing numbers.

Example: 3^2 = 3x3 = 9 blocks to create square

3^3 = 3x3x3 = 27 blocks to create cube

Year 9 City Experience - Bounce

Year 9 LiFE (Body and Mind)

Last week, the students participated in a scavenger hunt in the city. Students were broken into small groups and given clues to go and discover our wonderful CBD. Students made some impressive finishing times and smashed through the challenges, developing navigation skills, teamwork skills, showing initiative and developing a sense of community. Well done!
