In the last week of term, students from Years 8 and 9 were involved in the Gippsland Tech School’s Health Design Challenge. As part of this challenge, students worked in groups to solve the following health-related problems: How do we prevent falls in hospitals? and How can we make crutches safer? Students had the opportunity to receive feedback from industry partners, Latrobe Regional Hospital and Latrobe Community Health Services, to modify and improve their prototypes.
A big congratulations goes to all students involved:
Year 8: Christine Tagayuna, Lily Evans and Charlotte Mansfield
Year 9: Regan Wright, Sydney Williamson, Alexis Miller and Kasey Svenson.
In particular, congratulations to Regan Wright and Alexis Miller, who were awarded 2nd place for the Industry Award for their solution to the problem “How do we prevent falls in hospitals?”
