PROJECT COMPASSION 2018

Which Homegroup will take out the 2018 Project Compassion challenge? Will Miss Cramp’s Sherrin 6 finish in first place like 2017? This year’s Project Compassion theme is ‘For A Just Future’. Mater Dei’s annual Caritas Lenten fundraising appeal is an extraordinary, ongoing demonstration of our faith, love and generosity to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity.

Project Compassion marks the beginning of Lent which is an opportunity to come home. We all stray. We live in a world that often calls us away from God. But God knows each of us by our fingerprint, knows when we turn away, and still always stands waiting, hoping to see us turn back to him.

SOCIAL JUSTICE TEAM

Do you have a passion for justice, peace, inclusion and equality?

Applications for the 2018 Social Justice Leaders are now open. The College will be seeking two leaders from each of the following year groups; Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12. Leaders will assist in the promotion of a variety of social justice activities at the College.

The Social Justice Leaders along with the SRC (Student Representative Council), is an example of student leadership opportunities on offer at the College. Applications are due on Monday 26 February 2018. The link to the application form can be found here.

YEAR 12 RETREAT

Our students and staff are currently at Warrambui for their Year 12 Retreat. We keep them in our thoughts and prayer.

Dear Lord,

Please bless the journey of Year 12 students and staff

on retreat at Warrambui,

May retreat profit the health of their head, heart and hands;

Guard, guide and preserve them;

Amen

Returning them all safe and sound.
