New Faces

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

I am one of the first aid officers. I am excited to be working in a school environment for the first time and to be part of this community here at BHCS.

What did you do previously?

I have been a registered nurse for 19 years, working in many areas - the last 11 years being in aged care.

What do you like to do for fun?

I have a 6yo daughter. I love spending time with my family camping, 4-wheel-driving, going to the beach and riding our bikes.

 

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

I am the new middle school Chaplain.  I am excited about God's plan for me at this school and the new connections that will be made with students/staff and families.  I'm excited to learn, grow and apply the new information and skills I will experience from everyone I will come into contact with.  I am completely open to all the new things that will come my way this year and pray I will be able to use my God given gifts and talents to be able to make a positive impact in the lives of others at the school.

What did you do previously?

I am currently still working 2 days as school Chaplain at Seville Primary School and have worked previously for 4 years as Chaplain at Menzies Creek Primary School.  My work history is in youth work, community development and wellbeing both in Australia and in Ireland.  

What do you like to do for fun?

Change my hair colour!!! Socialising with family and friends is always high on the agenda of fun activities for me.  I like hanging out with my 3 adult daughters and camping with friends.  I recently got an E bike and a kayak which has opened up a whole world of adventure I never thought I wanted before!  I love studying God's Word with my bible study group through Community Bible Study Australia.  We get to study on zoom which means my mum in Ireland can join in! It's fun getting to see her each week.  

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

My new role at BHCS is the Learning Support Administration Assistant. I am excited to be working in a school environment for the first time and being amongst the wonderful staff and students here.

What did you do previously?

My previous role was working in local government in the Maternal & Child Health / Family Services department for 12 years. 

 

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy camping with my husband and two girls. Our favourite place to camp is Wilsons Prom! Spending time with family and friends, being at the beach, and drinking good coffee are just a few of the things I enjoy. 

 

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

This year I will be a Year 9 home room teacher and will be teaching Year 11 VCAL, Year 8 PUSH, Year 9 Program, Grade 3 PE and CSEN sports Year 7-10! 

I am very excited to meet all of the students and be immersed in the amazing culture at BHCS! 

What did you do previously?

This is my first year of teaching but before coming to BHCS I was involved in admin for a few sporting programs and associations as well as working as a nanny and studying full time! 

What do you like to do for fun?

I love love love playing soccer and testing all of my baking creations on my family and friends! 

 

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

I am a PE and Business Management teacher, and the Middle School Sports Coordinator. I am very excited to see how students and teachers at BHCS keep active, and excited to see how I can support others to become the best version of themselves, in the classroom, in the gym, and on the sports fields.

What did you do previously?

Before becoming a teacher, I worked at Tennis Australia to help organise some of their big tennis tournaments, including the Australian Open. Before that I was a Lifeguard, a Sports Coach, a Team Manager and an Administrator.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love to play Sports. I play lots of Cricket in summer, and play lots of AFL in winter. I have also played social Basketball and Netball with my friends, and I spent lots of hours in the Swimming pool when I was at school.

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

I am the new Principal of BHCS. I am very excited to be joining such a wonderful school. It is an honour to build on the wonderful legacy that Andy Callow’s leadership has established at BHSC. I have already been made to feel so welcome by the fantastic BHCS staff, student and parents.

What did you do previously?

My previous role was Executive Principal of Heatherton Christian College and Wyndham Christian College. I split my time each week between the two campuses.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love to travel, go four wheel driving, walk my dog along the beach, and spend time with family and friends. I am a long suffering St Kilda supporter and still live in hope of seeing a Saints premiership in my life time!

 

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

I am the Media Content Creator and I will be making videos, taking photos and all sorts of visual content to promote Belgrave Heights Christian School.

Video is such a powerful medium and I am looking forward to telling the many stories of the staff and students at BHCS.

What did you do previously? 

I have been (and still am) a Worship Pastor at Hope City Church in Croydon and have been there for the last five years.

What do you like to do for fun? 

I love music and playing the piano, eating at cafes with friends and family, as well as spending time walking in nature, and drinking great coffee.

 

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

My new role at BHCS is learning assistant in Year 3 and reception in the afternoons! I'm so excited to get to know all of the staff and students here at BHCS.

What did you do previously?

I've worked in Early Childhood Education for most of my adult life and I was previously the Centre Manager at Aurora Early Education.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love to play soccer, this is where you will find me most nights of the week and on the weekends. I also love playing with my nephews and niece and spending time with my family.

 

 

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? 

I’m super lucky to be working in the senior school as a learning assistant this year. I’m excited to get to know each of the students and learn more about them, along with how I can best support them to achieve their best each day.

What did you do previously? I studied Myotherapy and spent the last 6 months of 2021 working in a private clinic with many people of a variety of ages and abilities. I loved what I studied, I find both people and the human body incredible, and if you ask me about it I could go on forever!

What do you like to do for fun? You’ll often find me on the soccer pitch or volleyball court, my tendency to lean towards sport may have come from my parents. Aside from that I love my coffee and enjoy going to find new spots to catch up with friends over a strong latte!
