2022 Music Captain

Hi, my name is Roselyn and I’m extremely excited to be your Music Captain for 2022!

Music at St Andrews Christian College has been such an essential part of my schooling life and has helped shape my character into who I am today. It has taught me how to become more resilient and hardworking in the goals I wish to accomplish, especially through consistent rehearsals and engaging with challenging repertoire. I have also had the opportunity to learn teamwork skills and how to stay organised despite having other responsibilities stemming from school and other activities. All of this has not only shaped who I am, but it has also shown me how I can love and serve others through The Arts.

I have been so blessed to be part of such a loving and supportive community in the Performing Arts department that has always been so encouraging. My goal for this year is for the Performing Arts department to be a place of love, encouragement and support for all students, just like it has been for me.

2022 Wellbeing Captain

Hi everyone, I’m Andrea, the Wellbeing Captain for this year! Being in my final year of high school, I’m super keen to make 2022 a super memorable year not just for me, but the whole Secondary School.

My goal as wellbeing captain this year is to help our students feel cared for in our school community through activities that promote student wellbeing and just simply, acts of kindness!

Something that our Secondary Leadership Team has already done this year was for Valentines' Day. We decorated our building with balloons and gave out chocolate hearts to all the students in secondary school, reminding them of God's eternal love for us. In addition, Sarah, our College captain coordinated a hearts scavenger hunt. It was great to see so many kids running around excitedly to find all 58 hearts plastered around our school! Congratulations to Hannah Kiswoto from 8E who had the closest guess!

We are also in the process of recruiting secondary students in joining our wellbeing team! They will be helping me coordinate events and activities throughout the year, and I cannot wait to bring our ideas for wellbeing into action!

I truly believe that we are in for a great year ahead and I am thrilled for what the student wellbeing team can do for our school!
