Grade 3/4 Students

Celebrating our tremendous Threes and fabulous Fours !

3/4A - Mrs Bryant

This week in 3/4A we have been enjoying getting to know each other, building relationships, and establishing classroom routines. We have created some ‘Name Clouds,’ which feature adjectives beginning with each letter of their name.

3/4B - Miss Brook

Week 1 is nearly done! We’ve made an excellent start in 3/4B, getting to know each other and having lots of fun along the way! We’ve discussed our classroom expectations and created our agreement so we are ready to make a great start to our learning officially next week.

3/4C - Mr Lewis

This week we have been discussing what good Mathematicians, what good Writers and what good Readers do, in preparation for the new school year.

The students have also engaged in a range of getting to know you activities including this ‘All About Me’ response.

3/4D - Mr Mitch

This week in 3/4D, we read the book ‘The Best Part of Me’. After reading the book, the students chose a physical feature from their own body and articulated the reason why it was their favourite. This was a great activity to recognise and celebrate differences between the students in 3/4D (Ana L.).

Later in the week, we brainstormed the characteristics of a good mathematician. We used this task to set expectation within our numeracy lessons and to encouraged the students to view numeracy activities with a growth mindset (Hamish M.).

3/4E - Miss Margarita

What an amazing start we have had in 3/4E! Students have been having a great time reconnected with their friends and getting to know all their classmates.

We worked collaboratively to develop our class agreement and set out our Rights and Responsibilities. Students also drew self portraits which will be on display in our classroom window.
