Welcome to Science!

Students began engaging in science in week 2, except for Foundation students.

Year 1/2

Year 1/2 started the year by exploring the diversity of science. We read a text 'S is for scientists', created a class mind map about what scientists do. Students then created individual labelled diagrams showing themselves as a scientist. These will be displayed in the science room.

Year 3/4

Students began by engaging in the Cup Challenge. Students worked together in small groups to move 6 cups into a pyramid shape without using their hands! 

Year 5/6

Students learnt about the new James Webb Space Telescope and developed their own questions about what the JWST might discover.
