Sports Hub - Student Representative Council

This term we launched the Sport Hub, which has been a work in progress over the last year. The SRC have worked on giving students the opportunity to be active at lunchtime by borrowing a vast array of sporting equipment. In the first week it was great to see over 200 students enjoying the sunshine on the oval and being active. We hope that this initiative is supported by all students and are looking at introducing other items for students to borrow.

I See, I Care  - Dolphin Ambassadors

Early this term, the 4 student ambassadors spent the day on the Moonraker Boat swimming with the seals and dolphins of Port Phillip Bay. They have been learning about the impacts of humans on these species along side the education officers at the Dolphin Research Centre. This was an amazing opportunity to be so close to the animals in the natural habitat, an experience that will never be forgotten. The students then put together a presentation on the effects of soft plastics which they presented to other I See I Care ambassadors during a session at Nossal High. The girls are looking forward to presenting this to other members of our school community in term 3.

Aerobics - State Finalists

Congratulations to our Black Magic Aerobics team who have qualified for the state finals in Geelong. The girls put together their routine in 4 weeks and should be extremely proud of their effort. We look forward to reporting about their upcoming results.
